Reliance on one or two methodologies will not guarantee sourcing the best available candidate, a combination of all of them needs to be undertaken.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Stage 3 \u2013 Assessment<\/h2>\r\n<p>Once candidates have been identified it is important to use a variety of assessment techniques to ascertain their suitability. The use of a number of assessment techniques such as competency interviews, personality and abilities assessments and behavioural reference checking ensures that all the skills, competencies and traits identified in the position and person analyses are assessed for each candidate. This results in a strongly relevant shortlist. At Grow, we like to be involved in the initial round of client interviews as well to ensure we understand exactly how the candidate has performed when feedback is given and ensure they have put their best foot forward.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Stage 4 \u2013 Finalisation<\/h2>\r\n<p>This oft-neglected stage is when the verbal offer is made, any negotiations re terms and conditions are undertaken and the candidate is counselled through the resignation and any potential counter-offer stage.
